¡MANI DAY! ♥

MANI DAY! ♥
Denia Martinez (our fave Mani Loly Girl) creates this look inspired by our Lailas. Just like a Loly girl...always knows how to mix and match our fave colors: navy and silver!

Apply this easy and simple Mani to go with your Lailas!

Steps:
1. Apply a silver base coat to your nails and wait to dry completely.
2. Cut small strips of adhesive tape used for nail decoration. Paste one across the pointer nail, one across the ring finger nail and one straight down the middle nail.
3. With the navy polish apply a coat over your nails (including the ones with the strips).
4. Remove the adhesive tapes.
5. Add a top coat to protect your manicure.

VOILÁ! ♥

You’re staring at that empty wall and don't know how to decorate it? Framing is a technique used to decorate spaces with your fave photos or posters using, well obviously, frames. There's even a method on how to arrange them, but it varies depending on the size, color and content.

It's super easy, you just need to find your faveorite pics, they could be personal or from a magazine, illustrations or paintings. You could buy your frames in a second-hand store and paint them with different colors; we obviously recommend using different frame styles such as vintage, modern, etc. Play with sizes and widths of the frames to creat texture in your wall.

Another cheap option for framing is using ribbons with different textures, width, and colors as you can see on our cover photo. You can frame in various ways and shapes like rectangles, squares, ovals; practically as you wish!

You could decorate your bedroom, office or even your living room.
(Why not try the kitchen or bathroom too?)

¡Nos encanta! ♥
¿Cómo lo decorarían ustedes?

We luvd it! ♥
How would you decorate it?

¿Cómo acomodar tanto zapato?
How to organize so many shoes?

When we always get back from the office or party, we just throw our shoes because we just want to hit our bed or sofa. Buuuut when we decide to pick them up, we go into our closet and look where to put them: either on an empty space or just throw them once again. What if we do a mini closet for shoes with re-utilizable stuff such as these boxes that you can find in any market?

Materiales:
Cajas / Paletas
Barniz / Pintura (mpermeabilizante es opcional)
Brocha
Spray
Clavos y Martillos

Materials:
Boxes
Paint (waterproof is optional)
Brush
Spray
Nails and Hammer

First of all, you need to find a space where to do your mini closet. Then, after finding these boxes (you can go to any super market or mini market), you can paint them with your favorite colors either the tone or different (with spray or just a bucket of paint). If you want a shiny look, you can add a high gloss coat. After that, you can go ahead and arrange the boxes vertically, horizontally, or you can even do a mix.
Last but not least, you can organize your shoes by color or type but definitely you can't miss your Lolys! ♥

¡Puedes agregar hasta libros, revistas y más!
You can even add books, magazines or more!

Para niños también puedes hacerlo divertido.
Even for kids you could make it fun!

Karla Iturriaga is our Loly Girl of the week. Today we will be peeking into her lovely world.
She is the mom of two beautiful twins, a vintage treasure hunter, a dreaming traveler and the stylish blogger behind www.lovespolaroid.blogspot.com

We asked Karla to share with us the favorite pieces in her closet,  pieces that have a special meaning to her in which she has lived beautiful moments she treasures.
On this picture Karla is wearing a Vintage 1970s dress that belonged to her grandmother, that night she was having dinner in the Seine river in Paris (her favorite city in the world).
Here Karla is holding her favorite vintage handbag, she got in Les Encants market in Barcelona.  There is a special meaning to objects you adquire during your trips, specially if they are vintage and have a story behind them... She loves styling it in a lot of different ways ...

And the third item she shared with us are one of her favorite sunglasses from the 70s. She got them in La Lagunilla, a Sunday vintage market in Mexico DF, where Karla has bought most of her house furniture and a lot of her favorite accesories.

Karla loves to travel. It has been in her trips that the most wonderful things have happened to her, for example she met her husband in this trip to Playa del Carmen

Paris, Barcelona or La Lagunilla Sunday market we have enjoyed traveling with Karla... And Im sure she will take her Lolys to wonderful places with a lot of style...

fear, beauty and love

My head is full of things I dont understand...
This will be the year when I will write a new story of my life
Im changing this huge fear for a drive to keep going
beauty is now defined as not perfect
and love feels like the safest thing in the world*

*maybe if I repeat it enough and clack my shoes,It will take me where I want to go ( just like Dorothy)
